The Scout Headquarters is available for hire outside of our regular meeting times. Typically the facilities are available:
The site is made up of the main building with a large hall, smaller meeting room, kitchen and toilets. All of these are on a single level. The building has been designed around the harsh environment needed for youth activities, which gets put to the test every week! Great forward thinking has paid off over the years, as the headquarters was built with a tiled stone floor throughout. This has withstood such activities as pioneering and fire lighting - yes, we have done both indoors! The kitchen and toilets provide basic facilities that meet the needs of most people that have used the building Outside there is a large enclosed grassed area and separate parking for around 10 cars (this is leased to the Combe Down Garage weekdays and Saturday mornings. At the moment some of the grassed area has been taken over for the stone mines working.
