Pack Holiday 2008Information: We have had to change the venue for Pack Holiday. New: Where: Sandleheath Sea Scouts Hall at Sandleheath, Fordingbridge. When: Monday July 28th to Friday August 1st 2008 This site has indoor accommodation as well as plenty of space for camping. We’ll be just on the edge of the New Forest and over the next few weeks the leaders will be arranging activities to keep the cubs busy. We will be using Braggers Wood (the original plan) for some activities. There bthere will be ample opportunity for us to explore the local area too.
We’ve yet to finalise the full cost, but it will be in the region of £160. If your cub would be interested in going on Pack Holiday this year, please complete the form (pdf, 42kb) and return to your Akela as soon as possible with a deposit of £20 to give us a feel for the number of cubs who wish to attend. Spending nights away from the family for the first time is often quite a worrying time – in our experience more for the parents than the cubs – they’re too busy having fun! If you have any concerns about your child and a few nights away from home, please come and speak to Akela. Even the most nervous of cubs goes home with a smile on their face at the end of Pack Holiday! | |||||||
